Defend Yourself, Good Knight A.D. 1500-1540
 |
 |

The Green Knight knows that swords and crossbows won't work too well against a full suit of armor. Instead, he has a mace, which he uses to smash in your armor's steel plates. Ouch! Better watch out for him. |

Why wear only a breastplate when you could cover your entire body instead? Emperor Maximilian, who lived around 1500, helped to invent armor like this. All the ridges look nice, but they also make the armor stronger. In a suit like this, you would be almost invincible. But, oh my, was this expensive! |

OK, but what if you are jousting in a tournament, and a knight on horseback is riding toward you with his lance aimed at your heart?! |

See another Maximilian helmet. |
