The museum’s Community Arts department seeks qualified candidates for its Assistant position. The Community Arts Assistant provides primary office support with a focus on fiscal management and record keeping, event coordination, and event day oversight. Typical duties include maintaining and editing all financial entries into database; contract administration for departmental events (Parade the Circle, Chalk Fest); coordinates travel and lodging for guest artists; proofreads publications and signage; and coordinates logistics for departmental events.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s degree a minimum of two years of experience working in a community engagement environment. Some college work in a field related to arts and culture, community relations, and/or marketing preferred. Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational ability also required as is proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 25 lbs.
