Digital Communications Manager
The museum’s Communications department has an immediate opening for a Digital Communications Manager responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of the museum’s website, e-newsletters, and social media presences, working on their development with the Director of Communications and Research. This position serves as an account representative to museum departments, providing an interface between these departments and the marketing and communications department while working collaboratively with other marketing and communications staff members to service these requests. Typical duties include compiling information, writing, and updating the museum’s website, blog, and social media presences on a daily basis; compiling information and writing the museum’s weekly e-newsletter; and develops other media (videos, photos, etc.) for digital communications platforms as appropriate.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or public relations from a four-year college or university; minimum three years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with digital communications, website content management systems, and video production preferred. Experience using word processing software and spreadsheet software required.
