A turquoise blue glazed faience amulet depicts the goddess Taweret standing upright. Facing right, the hippopotamus-headed figure grasps a thick vertical staff. Her body features a rounded belly, pendulous breasts, and a crocodile tail along her back. Fine incised lines texture her mane and limbs, with a small crown atop her head. Openwork carvings create negative space between her limbs, accentuating the glossy, slightly pitted surface.
