A bow is made from a cylindrical bamboo shaft that curves into a gentle arc. Mostly yellow-brown, the wood is punctuated by raised nodes where the bamboo undulates outward, marked with darker brown streaks. A thin string spans the ends; at the upper tip, a tuft of pale fiber protrudes. Near the base, a knot of material secures the string, highlighting the organic construction of the piece.
