A circular iron sword guard features a pierced ring of eight folding fans. Their ribbed frames create a scalloped outer edge in dark-brown, matte metal. Three vertical openings pierce the center: an elongated hole flanked by two smaller rounded cutouts. Gold and copper-colored accents are inlaid across the fans' surface. The fans' pivots point inward, encircling a solid central area with a textured, aged finish.
