A circular iron sword guard features a dark, pitted surface with an elongated central opening. Four circular cutouts with interior cross-shaped patterns encircle the center, linked by scalloped bands containing small, round holes. A thick outer rim is inlaid with repeating golden-colored foliage patterns. The dark metal shows an uneven, weathered texture, contrasting with precise geometric cutouts. The design transitions from openwork patterns to a solid, decorated border with a tarnished patina.
