A dark, four-lobed metal sword guard features a finely textured surface. Carved chrysanthemums and leaves border the edge, accented by tiny silver dots. Five gold-colored crickets crawl across the body, positioned around the center. Centrally, a wedge-shaped opening is flanked by two teardrop-shaped voids with gold-colored rims. Dense floral relief surrounds these openings, creating a rich pattern of organic forms against the dark, granular background.
