A flat, circular iron disk forms this sword guard, its dark, pitted surface showing a weathered brown patina. Decorative cutouts pierce the metal: a narrow central slot and an adjacent oval opening. Five-petaled flowers are positioned at the top left and bottom right. On the left, a scalloped cloud shape rests above two overlapping rectangular bars, the negative spaces contrasting against the rough, dark texture.
