A tsuba, or iron sword guard, forms a dark circular disk with openwork bamboo designs. A large oval aperture centers a vertical bamboo stalk. To the left, a circular side opening is filled with textured, light gray material, while the right remains empty. Pointed bamboo leaves arch across the top and base, transitioning into the thick outer rim. The piece's pitted surface has a dark brown texture, framing the central elements.
