An iron sword guard features a thick, four-lobed cross shape with broad arms and inward-curving edges. A vertical, wedge-shaped opening is pierced through the center of the dark brown metal, flanked on the right by a smaller oval hole. The surface displays a heavily pitted and irregular texture, reminiscent of worn stone, while the outer edges of the arms are rounded, giving the object a sturdy, weathered appearance.
