A circular iron sword guard depicts Hanshan and Shide in relief beneath overhanging pine trees. At the bottom left, Hanshan points toward our left while Shide crouches on the right, both figures smiling. Gold inlays highlight earrings and patterns on their clothing. The dark, textured surface is pierced by three openings: a central wedge-shaped hole flanked by two smaller, rounded apertures.
