A circular, iron sword guard features a dark, textured surface and intricate openwork. A central, vertical oval opening is flanked by two semi-circular cutouts. Four flower-like motifs with pointed petals occupy the outer quadrants, connected by thin horizontal and vertical bars extending to the rim. Small, copper-colored metal inserts line the top and bottom of the central opening, while a weathered patina adds depth to the piece's symmetrical, geometric form.
