A circular iron sword guard features a dark-brown, pitted surface and a raised rim. At the center, a vertical wedge-shaped opening is flanked by two irregular cutouts and twelve teardrop-shaped holes forming a ring. Gold-toned brass forms thin vines and flowers across the top and right side. The heavy iron texture contrasts with the smooth metallic inlay, highlighting the delicate floral pattern set within the robust openwork disk.
