A circular iron sword guard features delicate openwork within a thick, textured rim. Centrally, a large vertical aperture is flanked by two side openings. A torii gate and veined leaf occupy the left, balanced by similar foliage on the right. At the base, a building with a ribbed roof sits beneath thin, curving branches. The dark, weathered metal connects these elements into a harmonious landscape scene.
