A circular iron sword guard features a central wedge-shaped opening and four lobed compartments outlined in thin gold. Raised carvings within the panels depict clusters of flowers and swirling clouds. A delicate vine pattern is engraved across the dark gray surface, which displays an uneven finish with hints of reddish-brown. Gold lines frame the central opening and the four inset compartments, creating a symmetrical arrangement across the weathered metal disc.
