A vertically oriented woodblock depicts a city scene carved into a rectangular piece of wood. Two deep diagonal lines intersect at the center, forming an X across the grain. Within recessed carvings, a skyline of rectangular buildings sits on the left and right, with bridge structures and boats on water below. Swirling, ridged textures fill the upper right and lower left. Dark, uncarved surfaces contrast with the textured, light-toned interiors of the carvings.
