A horizontally oriented textile piece features a wide, shallow V-shape of black velvet. Symmetrical pale gold metal thread embroidery of swirling vines and stylized flowers covers the surface. A delicate white lace trim follows the lower edge of the band as it tapers toward its ends. A thin gold border frames the intricate decoration, set against the dark, plush ground of the velvet.
