A vertically oriented cancelled electrotype on a copper-toned surface features a muscular figure climbing a vertical mass. Rendered with dense parallel lines and cross-hatching, the figure looks leftward while gripping the structure. Two thin diagonal lines form a large X across the entire plate. On our left, horizontal lines suggest a background. Along the bottom edge, short vertical marks indicate textured ground.
