Description

The fragment preserves a winged quadruped in blue on a gray-beige background with the details of the animal in the ground color. Below the animal are foliate sprigs in blue.
A circular woven silk textile fragment features a blue hybrid creature on a tan ground. Facing left, the animal has a canine head with an open mouth, a striped wing, and hooved legs. A circular pattern marks its shoulder, while stylized blue leaves occupy the right side. The aged fabric is characterized by frayed edges and several holes, including a prominent opening near the center and deep tears on the right.
