Description

Credit line: John D. Rockefeller General Education Board Grant II
A warm brown wood carving has a streamlined, horizontal form. Suggesting a low automobile, the sculpture's smooth surface highlights a subtle natural grain. At the front, a sloped hood meets a flat grille and thin bumper. Integrated fenders house four circular disc wheels, while an open cockpit features a small steering wheel. The rounded rear is crowned with a diagonally mounted fifth wheel, completing the work's simplified, geometric silhouette.
