A wood sculpture depicts a locomotive and car resting on a flat, segmented track. Carved from smooth, light-colored wood, the pieces feature darker, circular wheels. To the right, the engine has a cylindrical boiler with a small smokestack, a conical nose, and a cab with an overhanging roof. To the left, a long rectangular car with a curved top connects to the engine. The natural wood grain is visible across the polished surface.
