An embroidered silk robe features a faded red body and wide sleeves decorated with five circular medallions containing white cranes, butterflies, and floral motifs. Along the hem, a band of crashing white waves and mountains sits above vibrant, multicolored diagonal stripes. Black silk borders embroidered with small cranes trim the sleeve ends and the curved collar, which wraps across the chest and fastens on the garment's right side.
