A floral border encompasses tan wool over which symmetrical motifs of vases, birds, and fruit bowls are arranged in muted red, green, and gold. At the top, text names Harriett Maria Willoughby, dated November 4, 1828, surrounding a central verse. Two winged figures hover beside the inscription. This vertically oriented composition uses flattened shapes and muted threads to create a structured, decorative display across the background, occasionally showing fields of the underlying wool.
