A horizontally oriented cancelled copper plate depicts a rural farm scene in shades of metallic gray. In the middle ground, two tall silos with faceted roofs stand beside a barn, rendered with fine, precise etched shading. A winding path curves through the light-toned foreground. Multiple long, dark diagonal scratches cut across the entire composition, obscuring the hazy, atmospheric sky and structures to indicate the plate has been cancelled.
