A square woolen canvas depicts a flowering vine border surrounding muted pink, green, and brown motifs. Two stanzas of the poem "To the flower called Forget Me Not" by Mrs Opie sit above a central basket of flowers. Flanking the basket, two butterflies float on the tan ground. Below, the name "Ann Rome" is enclosed in a decorative scroll. The sampler's frayed edges and delicate embroidery reflect an antique aesthetic.
