A square-oriented embroidery features a central rectangle of black text framed by a serrated blue border (see "Inscriptions"). The inscription names Ann Blachford and is dated 1779. Symmetrical motifs of squirrels, deer, and flowering plants in muted red, green, and blue surround the script. Below, two men with light skin tones carry a giant bunch of grapes. A floral vine border frames the light-beige canvas, which shows small holes along the edges.
