A square linen cloth is embroidered with dense needlework patterns in cream and tan threads. Geometric and floral bands fill the top and left edges. Near the center, a diamond frame encloses the letters ML and the date 1672. Repeating leaf and blossom designs cluster along the right side, while small floral sprigs line the bottom. Irregular brown stains mark the aged fabric, contrasting with the varied, pale embroidery.
