A horizontally long piece of cream-colored linen needle lace features a repeated pattern of organic basket shapes filled with flowers and spraying leaves against a fine, mesh-like background. Symmetrical scrolling vines and ribbon-like bands connect these motifs horizontally. Along the bottom edge, a delicate scalloped border of small flower shapes repeats rhythmically. Frayed threads and small holes are visible along the top edge where the intricate textile shows signs of age.
