A square white linen handkerchief features a decorative border of white embroidery and scalloped edges. Around the perimeter, repeating leaf patterns and small circular eyelets are connected by trails of raised dots. Larger clusters of pointed leaves extend inward from each corner toward a plain, slightly wrinkled central square. The delicate white-on-white stitching creates a symmetrical frame, silhouetting the wavy edges and emphasizing the translucent quality of the fine textile.
