A light-colored ivory sculpture depicts a boy kneeling on his left knee with his right knee raised, right arm extended forward. His head tilts upward to the right, mouth slightly open. He wears a robe etched with maple leaf and hexagonal patterns. In his left hand, he holds a small, circular object with a carved central swirl. Fine, dark lines define his hair and the delicate patterns of his garment.
