A sculpture depicts an elephant carved from ivory, a warm, off-white material with fine vertical graining visible along the spine. Facing left, the animal has its trunk raised and mouth slightly open, revealing small tusks beneath large ears. Deeply incised, wavy lines represent wrinkled skin across the body and thick legs. The surface is smoothed to a subtle sheen, highlighting its heavy, muscular form as it walks forward.
