A small ivory sculpture depicts a plump quail crouching low. The bird's compact, bulbous body transitions from a smooth breast and head into wings incised with fine, overlapping lines representing feathers. Two dark, circular eyes flank a short, pointed beak, while tiny, textured feet peek from beneath the off-white form. Darker tones settle into the material's crevices, accentuating its rounded shape as it faces left.
