An opium pipe features a long, cylindrical wood stem with natural circular knots, angling from upper left. Near the center, an etched silver sleeve supports a bronze mount for a spherical, mottled green stone bowl. Matching green stone caps with metal bands finish both ends. The wood's rich grain patterns contrast with polished metalwork and the swirling, dark textures found in the green stone bowl and end caps.
