A square linen and bobbin lace handkerchief features a translucent center panel with symmetrical embroidered leaf motifs in each corner. An intricate border of repeating floral patterns and scalloped edges frames the square. The dense, web-like lace contrasts with the delicate linen center, which shows faint brown discolorations. The wide openwork border creates an ornate, shimmering frame around the simple embroidery of the central fabric.
