A jade sculpture depicts a reclining water buffalo carved from muted green stone, polished to a sheen and mottled with gray and brown patches. Facing our right, thick horns curve back over its head, while its legs are tucked beneath the torso. A tail detailed with fine, incised lines curls along its side. Natural color variations highlight the animal's rounded form, with darker tones on the face creating a weathered appearance.
