Description

The faience factory at Saint-Clément in eastern France closely imitated the styles and techniques employed by the Hannong's at Strasbourg. The monochrome landscapes in red on this covered bowl demonstrate the influence of German, in this case Meissen, porcelain on the faience made in this part of France.
