A horizontally long oval of off-white linen needlepoint lace is worked with dense floral and foliate patterns. Across the center and sides, large multi-petaled flowers and curling leaves dominate the design. These organic shapes are interspersed with delicate open mesh and geometric grid patterns. Some floral elements are slightly raised, creating tactile depth. The entire piece is finished with a continuous scalloped border featuring small loops and pointed tips.
