A horizontal mother-of-pearl bobbin features pairs of inward-facing hooks at its ends. A central raised gold ornament depicts curled leaf forms, from which etched scrolls extend outward across the iridescent white body. These carvings follow the scalloped edges of the material, reaching toward the hooked ends. The symmetrical design mirrors the golden centerpiece, creating a shimmering pattern across the flat surface.
