A mother-of-pearl paper knife features a flat, iridescent blade tapering into an upward-curving point. To the left, an ornate handle joins the blade with a small gold pin. This handle is detailed with rhythmic, carved lines and two raised gold scroll designs. The entire object glimmers with a pearlescent sheen, the handle's textured surface following a gentle, ergonomic curve that ends in a rounded, downward-sloping grip.
