Description

The fragment has large ovals containing combatant griffins and serpents framed with pearled borders and linked with round pearled medallions.
A muted brown silk textile fragment features a pattern of pearled circles enclosing winged creatures. These mythical beasts face right with one leg raised and tails curling into decorative, dragon-headed flourishes. A small rosette joins the two roundels. The fabric is irregularly shaped with frayed edges and horizontal weave lines. While the left motif remains clearly defined, the right figure has faded, leaving a faint silhouette against the worn ground.
