Description

This textile fragment preserves a pair of addorsed peacocks in tan on a plain tan background.
A muted brown silk textile fragment features two central peacocks standing back-to-back, their wings decorated with circular patterns. Vertical bands of repetitive script frame the scene on the left and right, while partial bird feet peek from the top edge. Significant chunks are missing from the bottom and lower-left, where the fabric is heavily frayed. The monochromatic piece exhibits a weathered, aged appearance.
