Description

The sleeves, neck opening, and most of the front area nearly to waist are preserved; the back has large areas missing. The foliated inscription bands on the sleeves near the shoulder seams are in white (faded from blue) on a pink and brown ground.
A fragmented, woven silk tunic features a "V"-shaped neck slit atop a muted reddish-tan, "T"-shaped form. The weathered fabric is mottled with dark brown and gray stains. Two vertical bands on the shoulders showcase flowing white script and floral designs. Large sections are missing from the ragged lower edges and sides, while the garment's irregular, worn silhouette is highlighted against a dark background, revealing the missing portions of the textile.
