A bronze fastener comprises a thick, semicircular arch textured with dense, parallel ridges. On the left, the metal wire winds into a tight circular coil before extending horizontally as a slender pin. The right end of the arch curves into a small catch where the pin tip rests. A weathered green and gray-brown patina coats the surface, emphasizing the structural contrast between the heavy, ridged bow and the thin, linear pin.
