An ivory paper knife features a straight, flat blade with vertical grain tapering to a sharp point. Above, a rounded handle is ornately carved with scrolling vines and clusters of grapes in high relief. The handle narrows at the base before meeting the blade, creating a cinched waist. The entire object is an off-white color, its natural texture visible in the delicate carving at the top.
