A circular ivory roundel carved in high relief depicts the Annunciation, all figures with light skin tones. On our left, the Virgin Mary sits at a desk with an open book, her right hand raised. To our right, an angel with large, feathered wings holds a winding scroll. Above, a small dove flies while a nude baby carrying a cross descends from the top. Heavy drapery with deep folds covers the figures.
