A greenish-white jade, a translucent stone, pitcher has an egg-shaped body decorated with irregular reddish-brown markings. A carved dragon-like creature clings to the neck, its body curving along the right side. On the left, a handle terminates in a bird-like head where it meets the flared rim. The vessel rests on a small, narrow base. Its polished surface highlights the natural streaks within the stone.
