A painted enamel on copper candlestick features a flared base, tiered stem, and cylindrical socket. Decorated in grisaille against a black ground, the base shows muscular figures, including one carrying a sphere. White interlocking patterns, horned masks, and foliage ornament the stem. Delicate gold vine-like scrolls cover the socket and bottom rim. High contrast emphasizes the detailed anatomy of the figures and the intricate, stylized ornamentation across the object's surface.
