A vertically oriented, blackened copper plate features a dense network of short, erratic gray scratches. A large copper-colored "X" is etched across the composition, its thin lines intersecting at the center and reaching the four corners. The overlapping, textured marks create a chaotic surface on the dark rectangular panel, giving the impression of frantic energy. Polished copper edges frame the plate, contrasting with the heavily distressed, matte interior.
