A warm-brown cedar root basket tapers from its wide mouth down to a small, narrow base. Its openwork body is composed of horizontal strips plaited through vertical ribs, creating a grid of rectangular openings. A thick, braided cord enwraps the upper exterior, finished with a knot on the right side. Throughout the vessel, the fibers show a rough, weathered texture. The uneven rim highlights the sturdy, handmade nature of this woven piece.
